The Best Backfire Electric Skateboard Review

If you’re in the market for an electric skateboard, chances are you’ve seen the Backfire Electric Skateboard pop up more than once. But what makes this particular skateboard so popular? What sets it apart from other electric skateboards? We did some digging and found out that Backfire really does stand out among its competitors when it comes to quality, functionality, and value. This article details the pros and cons of Backfire electric skateboards so you can make an informed decision about which one best fits your needs.

Why Choose a Backfire Electric Skateboard?

Because there are so many electric skateboards on the market right now, it can be incredibly difficult to choose. The worst thing that you can do is purchase an inferior board only to end up hating it and regretting your decision.

If you want to avoid making a bad investment and instead make an informed decision, it’s a good idea to read several backfire electric skateboard reviews before making a final purchase. You should also consider what kind of riding you’ll be doing, your skill level and budget.

If you get all of these questions answered ahead of time, then comparing multiple boards will be a simple task.

How is it Different From Other Boards?

Most other electric skateboards are so big that they're a hassle to take on public transit. The Backfire is much smaller and lighter, so you can take it just about anywhere. It's also pretty affordable, compared to competitors' boards.

The key feature is its portable design—not only can you easily carry it onto buses and trains, but it's also very easy to store in your apartment or dorm room.

And don't worry about the board being too small: Despite its diminutive dimensions, it will still get you where you need to go (15 miles on a single charge), which is more than enough for most trips around town.

1. Backfire Galaxy Electric Skateboard

Backfire Galaxy Electric Skateboard

The Generation II board from Backfire which they are dubbing the Galaxy is one hell of an electric longboard. It boasts a max speed of 25mph with a range of up to 15 miles! That puts it in the top end of the electric longboard market.

With Dual hub motors motors, the Galaxy can climb hills with an incline grade of 25%. You’d think with specs like that, it would cost you an arm and a leg to get your hands on one, but if you get in early and back their Indiegogo campaign, you can pick one up for US $399!

You can also pre-order on their website for $499, however, Indiegogo orders will be fulfilled first, then website orders.

Also, it’s cheaper on their Indiegogo campaign, so it’s a no brainer. It looks like they’ll retail for $529 after the campaign ends, which is still a very reasonable price for this board.

Of course, this is all based on what I’ve seen from them online but I’ll post a full rider review as soon as I get my hands on one.

Where Can I Buy it?

The best place to buy a Backfire electric skateboard is on Amazon, which offers free shipping. The board sells for $299, but it's currently available at an incredible 63% discount.

If you've been wanting to try an electric skateboard out but haven't wanted to commit a ton of money, here's your chance!

It's also worth noting that we've found that customers who purchase through Amazon seem to have a better experience than those who buy from their company website - more convenient and easier returns if something goes wrong! Overall, we think it's a great value and highly recommend it as a quality product at an excellent price.

Is The Battery Safe?

In 2013, several reports surfaced that battery packs on some electric skateboards were overheating and exploding. As a result, many retailers stopped selling these products for a period of time.

When boards were reintroduced to markets in 2014, it was with safer lithium-ion batteries equipped with overcharge protection circuits.

However, you should still take care when charging these devices and follow directions carefully to ensure maximum battery longevity.

If an electric skateboard fails to charge or loses power suddenly while in use, disconnect it from its charger right away and allow it to cool down before continuing use or plugging it back in.

Is There Any Customer Support?

When you’re buying an expensive piece of equipment, you want to know that you can contact a human in case something goes wrong. This is especially true for high-end pieces of tech like electric skateboards, which are becoming more and more popular every day. The best part about electric skateboards is how accessible they are, but if you have any questions or issues with your board, it’s crucial to make sure that there’s someone there to help. It may seem like an unnecessary detail at first glance, but customer support makes a big difference in a product's overall value. Make sure that there’s some type of customer service information available on their website before committing to any one electric skateboard.

Will I Get Value for My Money?

There are a few questions you need to ask yourself before buying a new skateboard. Will it be worth it in terms of durability, style, and effectiveness? If your answer is yes to all three, then it’s time to find one that suits your needs and matches your budget.

Thankfully, you don’t have to go far for great choices in every category. The best backfire electric skateboards cost just as much as regular non-electric boards, but they offer tons of bang for your buck.

These models use battery-powered motors that make riding easier (and more fun) than ever before.

What If Something Goes Wrong With The Board?

The beauty of electric skateboards is that they offer us a faster and more convenient way to get around. You can zip from one place to another in no time at all and there’s no need for either parking or fuel costs, so it’s easy to see why so many people have bought one over recent years.

However, with any technology, you have to accept that things may not always go as planned, which means it’s important to think about what happens if something goes wrong with your board.

Fortunately, most retailers are willing to take back faulty boards within a reasonable amount of time, but it's still worth checking before you buy. If nothing else, it might just save you some stress later on!

Any Other Concerns Before Buying?

With every major shift in technology, there’s a learning curve for consumers. New electric skateboards are no different and even though they're increasing in popularity, there are still some questions and concerns. How long do they last? Are they safe to ride? Will I break something if I fall on one?

Those who've owned or ridden an electric skateboard understand these questions and more, but those considering buying an electric skateboard will want answers. Here's our best backfire electric skateboard review based on concerns we see frequently.

Final Thought

The backfire electric skateboard is one of my favorite ways to get around town. For me, it's often faster than taking public transit or walking—and I enjoy it more too. After doing a lot of research into other models on market, I've found that for most people, it's one of best electric skateboards out there. There are two concerns: The first is range—the battery can only go about 6 miles before needing a recharge—but that's standard for most models on market. The second concern is price; at $1,000 it's not cheap and some people will balk at spending that much money on an electric board.
